J “SYPHON” GONZALEZ

J Gonzalez (born May 23rd, 1989) known professionally as Syphon, is a record producer, mixing and recording engineer. Best known for being All Money in’s recording artist Pacman Da Gunman’s go to engineer, he is currently running his own studio in Hollywood California where he makes innovative records with some of the worlds most established stars alongside talented up and coming acts. 

Syphon was born in Compton and raised in East Los Angeles. Surrounded by poverty and gang violence, he turned to music as a way of expressing himself and making sense of the world around him. His father played in a band, which exposed him to live performance at an early age, but it was the technical aspects of music that fascinated him the most. His drive to succeed in music was so strong that he would eventually put his full focus in pursuing recording full time. After paying his dues at various studios working with rock bands, oldies singers, and any other artist who would work with him, he began the journey to opening his own recording studio. Being a high school dropout, he would return to finish high school, so he could enroll himself to attend the Los Angeles Recording School. There he learned the skills he would need to open his own studio and start producing work that could compete with the biggest names in the industry. 

Syphon is renowned for creating a positive environment where artists feel comfortable and confident. His years of experience working with artists from all walks of life make him an ideal collaborator and have helped him to build a reputation as a true professional with a deep reverence for the craft of music production. 

Currently, Syphon is working with a multitude of artists at all different stages of their careers, both in his own Hollywood studio and as an in demand freelance producer and engineer around Los Angeles. He brings max effort to every production he works on, always reminding himself as well as his clients to be fearless and to always chase their dreams even if it means diving off the deep end.
